Zunaid completed his LLB degree at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2004 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa on during May of 2006.
Zunaid’s early days as an Attorney were spent practicing in the fields of personal injury law, general commercial litigation, labour law advisory, general litigation and family law litigation. Approximately eleven (11) years ago Zunaid found his way back to practicing as a Specialist Family Law Practitioner.
Zunaid’s work in this space has seen him handle thousands of divorce matters (including those of high net worth individuals), high level acrimony and conflict divorce matters, International Hague Convention applications, domestic violence matters, maintenance matters, children’s rights matters and adoptions.
In 2013, Zunaid joined one of the largest firms in the country where he assisted in the building the Family Law practice as well as training junior staff, some of whom are still employed at the firm.
Zunaid has regularly been asked to provide Specialist opinion on a range of topical family law issues in both the print and live media. He has also been invited to speak at various family law conferences / seminars.
Zunaid’s downtime is mostly spent on the tennis court, reading an autobiography or on the treadmill. He belongs to a well-known tennis club in Pretoria and participates in the city’s higher leagues.
Zunaid takes on work and currently represents clients across the country, including Durban, Johannesburg, Polokwane, Mpumalanga, Cape Town, to mention but a few.
Thoroughly enjoying the practise of people centered law, Zunaid is keen on re-entering the field of Labour Law.
